Data stored on your device
Nordic Habits stores the information needed to provide the app’s core features locally on your iPhone or iPad. This can include:
- habit names, categories, schedules, goals, and selected icons or emojis
- completion history and notes you choose to add
- reminder schedules and app preferences
- a custom background photo you choose from your photo library
The custom background photo is resized and kept on the device. Nordic Habits does not upload that photo to Lehmus Media Oy.
Optional iCloud sync
Nordic Habits Plus can optionally sync habits, categories, reminder settings, and completion history through your private iCloud account. Apple operates iCloud under its own terms and privacy policy.
You can leave iCloud sync off and use Nordic Habits locally. If you enable sync, data is handled through Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure so it can remain available across your compatible Apple devices.
Purchases and subscriptions
Nordic Habits Plus purchases and subscription status are processed by Apple. Lehmus Media Oy does not receive or store your payment-card details. Apple may provide the app with verified subscription status so Plus features can be unlocked, restored, or ended correctly.
You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings. The Apple Standard Terms of Use apply.
Photos and notifications
Photo access is used only when you choose a custom background. Notification permission is used only for reminders you create. You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
Nordic Habits does not use these permissions for advertising, profiling, or unrelated data collection.
Importing, exporting, and deleting data
You can export your habit data as a JSON file from the app’s Settings and import a compatible Nordic Habits JSON backup. You decide where an exported file is saved or shared and which file you import.
You can also clear the app’s habits, categories, and completion history in Settings. Removing the app may remove locally stored data. Data already synced through iCloud may remain subject to your iCloud settings and Apple’s retention practices.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Nordic Habits does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or cross-app tracking. Lehmus Media Oy does not sell your personal information or habit content.
The app may communicate with Apple services when you use subscriptions, iCloud, notifications, or system features. Apple processes information under its own privacy policy.
